Answers to the most common questions about driveway and patio cleaning across Oldham & Greater Manchester.
Usually yes — access to an outside tap is the easiest option. If you don't have one or access is difficult, just let us know when you get in touch and we can discuss what's possible before we book.
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the area being cleaned and an outside water source, many of our customers are out at work while we get on with the job. We'll confirm the access details when you book so there are no surprises on the day.
The quickest way is to send photos on WhatsApp. Clear photos of the area — ideally showing the size, surface type and access — along with your postcode lets us give you a clear, accurate price. We usually come back within a couple of hours on weekdays.
Prices vary depending on the size of the area and the surface type. A single-car block paving driveway will be priced differently from a large porcelain patio or a multi-car concrete driveway. Rather than publish a fixed list that won't apply to your specific job, we prefer to give you an accurate price once we can see the area. Send a couple of photos on WhatsApp and we'll come back with a clear figure.
We work Monday–Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 8am–4pm. Availability varies, so get in touch and we'll let you know what slots are free.
Most standard single or double driveways take between 1–3 hours, depending on size, surface type and how much build-up there is. Larger driveways or areas needing re-sanding will take longer. We'll give you a realistic estimate when we quote.
A typical patio takes 1–2 hours. Larger or more complex patios with steps, paths and surrounding areas can take longer. Porcelain slabs need a little more care and time than standard concrete or natural stone.
Not when done correctly. We use the right pressure settings for each surface type. Block paving, concrete, porcelain and natural stone all respond differently and we adjust accordingly. We'll also let you know before we start if we think any area needs a different approach.
We're careful to control overspray, particularly near fences and boundaries. On most jobs this is a non-issue, but if there's something specific to be aware of on your property, let us know when you book.
Many organic black spots — algae, lichens, mould — can be significantly reduced or fully removed with the right cleaning process. Some very stubborn or deep-set marks on certain surfaces may not lift completely in a single clean, and we'll be upfront about what's realistic. We can also treat surfaces to slow the regrowth of organic matter where appropriate.
That depends on the surface, your local environment and whether any treatment or sealer is applied after cleaning. In a typical northern England climate, most driveways and patios will benefit from a clean every 12–24 months to stay on top of moss and algae regrowth.
Yes. Block paving often needs re-sanding after a clean to stabilise the blocks and fill the joints. This needs to be done in dry conditions. Read more about our block paving re-sanding service.
Yes — we offer softwashing for rendered surfaces, which uses a low-pressure chemical treatment to kill algae, moss and lichen without damaging the render. High-pressure washing is not suitable for render. Read more about our softwashing service.
